2nd International Symposium on Acetabular Reconstruction
Comments
The second of our meetings concentrating on the acetabulum took place on 20th June this year at The Royal College of Surgeons of England. Following on from the success of the first symposium held a year ago, this meeting concentrated on bearing surfaces, both of the acetabular cup and the acetabular surface itself. Once again we were privileged to have eminent speakers, whose combined knowledge covered every possible aspect of acetabular reconstruction. Advances in technology have created a greater choice of materials available in prosthetic work and the advantages and disadvantages of various bearing surfaces were discussed. The meeting was a great success, much enjoyed, not only by the young surgeons attending but also by the professors, scientists and surgeons presenting.
The meeting was excellent with a top class faculty.

I found it really useful and the faculty was very well chosen.

The day was extremely useful and very interesting. The number of eminent academics present was very impressive - and reinforces the Faculty's view that the discussion of the acetabulum is of great importance. I imagine this dialogue will continue at future meetings.

Thank you so much for organising such a wonderful day. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was both informative and interesting and the faculty was outstanding.
